WIP Portfolio Cover 2009

Redesigning my portfolio with work from 2nd Quarter of this year. I decided to develop the entire portfolio in the style of a magazine to demonstrate my layout design abilities, typography skills, and also provide me the opportunity to talk about my work and background in design.

For the cover I decided to incorporate different elements and ideas. I wanted to demonstrate my ability to do photo manipulation right off the bat, as well as convey that I could handle the design of a magazine cover effectively. I used the text to showcase my different skill sets.

This cover is still a work in progress as is the whole of the portfolio. I'm still determining what pieces will end up in, as well as designing new ones for it. I'm considering showcasing at least 16-20 different pieces of work initially.

Would love to know what you guys think of this and what else I could do for it.
